Providing Quality Childcare for a brighter future
Our childcare nursery has been created to provide a warm, welcoming and calming environment to meet the needs of our children aged 0-5 years.
Our caring staff recognise that children develop at their own rates and in their own ways. Here at Sunny Days we provide the nurture and structure to support your child’s needs and we value all our children as unique individuals with their own interests and abilities.
Sunny Days Nursery is located on Heathpark Industrial Estate in Honiton, next to the Playdome. We are registered for children aged from 0-5 years.
Our professional and highly qualified staff are here to support your child’s learning through offering experiences that provide fun and challenge. We feel that it is important that families feel welcomed into our setting and that sharing information is key to ensuring the best provision for the child and the best possible outcomes.
Children have access to our large outdoor area where they can explore and be safe in the differing environments. Children enjoy a varied menu, using locally sourced produce and all food is cooked on site.
‘Every Child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfil their full potential. A child’s experience in the early years has a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right, and it provides the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up’.
Here at Sunny Days Nursery we welcome every child into our setting and make them feel special. We understand that children go through many transitions in their life and our key worker systems ensure close bonds between carers and children. Working in Partnership with Parents is key and we will see information sharing as a crucial part of our working relationship with families.

Key worker systems
Key workers are responsible for observing, assessing and planning for children around their interests. Information is gathered from parents on a daily basis though verbal and non-verbal communication, termly interest sheets completed by the parent, parent evenings held twice a year where the parents/carers discuss where the child is and discuss next steps. Key workers observe children through their play using an online system which parents will have their own login. Parents can also post their own observations on their child to the key worker.
